ThriveInAsia Update #006
Hi Fellow HR Practitioners,
Ever since our first update to all of you in December 2015, ThriveInAsia has grown tremendously and is well-placed to continue making a big impact to our HR community in Asia. To date, we currently have 152 HR Practitioners who have signed up to be content contributors, 351 subscribers to our mailing list and over 14,000 page views! This is a great sign and testament to the great purpose of this movement! Besides this, I would also like to share some updates with you:
Dave Ulrich Endorsement
TIA has managed to get endorsement from the HR Guru himself, Dave Ulrich where he highlighted the importance of HR in Asia and how TIA as a platform would be able to unite Asian HR Practitioners to become a shining light in the Global HR community. You can also hear Dave’s message for our community members at the side of the TIA’s homepage!
ThriveInAsia Gathering @ LinkedIn’s Singapore Office.
TIA recently held its first gathering of HR practitioners at LinkedIn’s Singapore office. It was a great afternoon where we had the chance to network with the wider HR community and to discuss our views on Enhancing our Talent Management Practice in Asia through a panel discussion which consisted of the following TIA community members:
- Abhishek Mittal - Senior Consultant, Willis Tower Watson
- Lim Zhi Rong - Regional HR Business Lead, Asia Pacific Region, Mondelez International
- Stef Phua - Talent Management Director, AIG
Many good thoughts were shared around the key themes of evidence-based talent management and how HR can better manage talent in a VUCA environment. Visit the Gathering Page on ThriveInAsia.com to have a look at the photos of this event!
Future Gatherings Lined Up
To date, we are in talks of holding our next Singapore Gathering in the later part of 2016 at an exciting company! We will update all of you again once this has been confirmed. Besides this, community members in Jakarta and Hong Kong can also look forward to a gathering in the coming months. Please feel free to contact myself at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in volunteering your help in organising these gatherings or if you do have recommendations for gathering venues.
